WISHING U ALL A VERY HAPPY ONAM

Its busy time here in the kitchen!!! With receipes half cooked and the cooked ones spreading great aroma ( thats wat my children say :-) ). It is really hectic but still lots of fun and unity and happiness coming together that makes us forgot the tireness and stress we undergo. Festivals and days like these help us bring together traditions and human values together.. thats a great part of still celebrating days like these. Visitng temples, meeting wid ppl, wishing them, getting back to ppl whom we've not been in touch for months or years but still feeling their warmth and love, helping out each other in household chores rather than jus sitting in front of TVs - Onam is all about modernly following our tradions and customs .... Hope everyone celebrates it to the fullest..

HEARTIEST ONAM WISHES TO ALL ON BEHALF OF ME AND MY FAMILY

    LYRICS

    Manasse paadu nee, madhuram nombaram
    evide swantwanam, smrithikal oraayiram

Malaraayi vidarnnu manam, madhuventhi ninnu swanam
    Marayunnu sayanthanam, nirayunnu kanneerkkanam
    Vidacholli nilkkunnuvo, pranayardra swapnangale

    Vilikkathe vanna kadanam.

Chiriyaayi munnil varum, kadalolam mizhineer tharum
    Viriyunna mohangalil, vazhiyunna maunam sakhi
    Vidarunna ponpookkale, vidhi nulluvan vannuvo

    vilikkathe vanna kadanam..

    TRANSLATION
Sing sweet the pain, oh my soul!
Thousands are the memories and where shall I find my solace?

The mind bloomed like a flower; the voice all carried its nectar
The twilight disappears and the tear drop fills in.
Leaned to bid a farewell, oh my dreams passionate?

    The sorrow emerged, uninvited.

An ocean of tear is delivered instead, those appear in a smile
A silence dribble out of the desires bloomed, oh my mate
Has the destiny tried plucking the golden flowers abloom?

    Uninvited, the sorrow emerged.

    POSTSCRIPT
Best composed, super-rendered by Dr Yesu (Female version by Dr B Arundhathi).

Lyric has its Gazal touch in it, as Yousaf Ali songs always keep in them.

Poor pictured. Perhaps, a best example of killing a notable song with its weak screen delivery.
